THE MISSION
My Mission as Sheriff of Orange County, Vermont is to
“Blend the Needs of Today, with the Challenges of Tomorrow”
I began my career with Orange County Sheriff’s Department in November of 2024 as a Civil Process Server, later attending the Vermont Police Academy in March of 2025 to become a Sheriff’s Deputy. BUT before all this, I acquired my Law Enforcement Degree and POST (Peace Officer Safety and Training) Certification from Rasmussen University in Minnesota back in 2012. Going back even further to 2009, I Supervised 60+ Officers for Interstate Security Services, an Armed Security Company in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, Minneapolis/St. Paul. Before that I was Asset Protect for Target in Three (3) Store locations simultaneously within the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. This has allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge of Law Enforcement. Furthermore, how OCSD Operates starting from a Civilian Position to a Swore Officer/Supervisor that I am today. All of which leading me towards the position of Sheriff for YOUR Orange County, VT.
Since that time I have assisted the Department with Centralized Digital Forms for our Staff, Proposed and later Adopted STARLINK Satellites for our Patrol Vehicles to Increase Communications, Initiated a BodyCam System with CJIS Certification, and Gained both Trust and Respect within the Communities We Serve with Transparency!
My Goal as Sheriff is to continue to expand these improvements within the Department and continue the path that the current Sheriff G. Contois has started.
